Your Greater Self is a book written by Antwan McLean. This design was created for his blogger website, which is used to not only promote his book, but to also provide blog updates and advice to internet readers. Taking Mr. McLean’s requests (a purple website with gold accents), Kirk sought to create a website that mixed a classy, upscale feeling with refreshing modern styling, all with a young and somewhat hip affect. For the upscale feeling, he utilized a rich purple and the image of the shield, tempering this look with a more modern look with the silhouette in the background and the sharp corners. This was all made youthful by integrating more hip aspects, such as an argyle background and a rough, spraypaint-esque watermark on the page.
